John Wakefield, champion for intellectual disability, awarded Order of Australia
Leadership Plus is delighted to congratulate our long-serving board member, John Wakefield on being admitted to the Order of Australia in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday honours list.
John has been an energetic representative and advocate for people with acquired brain injury and intellectual disability for over 30 years. He has volunteered and served on the boards of many organisations including Leadership Plus, Brain Injury Matters, Headway and the Melbourne L’Arche Community and has provided expertise and support to many other committees and agencies.
John has been an invaluable source of knowledge and insight to the Leadership Plus board and we warmly congratulate him on this recognition of his great contribution.
